Visible Helpers' October Awareness Campaign

From Visible Helpers

As we prepare for the cold, rain, and snow, let's remember those who face more than just discomfort, but a threat to their health and well-being: those experiencing homelessness. Help us continue our work!

More Info

Our October Awareness Campaign has two goals: to raise money to continue our work distributing much-needed items to people who are homeless, and to share information about homelessness, in general and in our city, Eugene, OR.

Eugene, OR has the highest per capita population of people who are homeless. We get about 35 to 40 inches of rain in winter, with temperatures falling to 30s at night. What we lack is shelter.

There are at least 10 people for every bed available. By focusing on basic supplies for shelter and warmth, we try to ease the suffering of those left on the Street, even if just a little bit.

Visible Helpers is a 510(c)3 established in 2020. We help people stay warm we in the Winter, cooler in the Summer, and provide basic non-food items (e.g. socks, toothbrushes and toothpaste, pads and tampons, first aid supplies) all year round.
