This straightforward yet essential building will offer lodging to our visiting pilgrims and house key equipment for our icon studio. This is just the start, laying the groundwork for its eventual evolution into a specialized icon workshop as we grow. Your generosity fuels our life of prayer and joins you to our mission and story: building a flourishing English language monastery in the lineage of Elder Ephraim of Arizona and Saint Joseph the Hesychast in the American Midwest.

A New Chapter Begins:

Founded in November 2022 with the blessing of Vladika Peter of Chicago. Our community is led by Father Menas and brings the rich spiritual tradition of Elder Ephraim of Arizona to the heart of the Midwest. In the spirit of our namesake, who brought the Gospel to diverse people, we are committed to sharing the Athonite monastic tradition with English-speaking believers.

We're now embarking on a vital project to construct a crucial 4,000 square-foot facility which will provide:

1. Pilgrim Hospitality: Includes modest quarters for a peaceful retreat for visitors seeking prayer and reflection.

2. Sacred Arts: Creates a dedicated space for our icon production, which provides quality Orthodox iconography for churches and homes throughout America.

3. Enduring Functionality & Economy: This will enable us to eliminate at least 3 or 4 moldy, unsightly mobile homes that waste an unconscionable amount of propane every winter.

4. Future Growth: This foundational endeavor is the first step towards expanded facilities for the continued growth of our monastic community.
