I have been a truck driver since 2015 and became an owner operator driver in 2018 when I purchased my own truck. I made this decision so I could better support my wife and 4 young kids. I have almost 1 million miles under my belt since the beginning of my career and I have been completely accident free.
In July 2023, I was driving back home to Nevada from Arizona when a drunk driver hit me going 50 MPH. This completely totaled my truck, caused me to break my right hand in 2 places, and I was out of work for almost 12 weeks. This accident destroyed my entire career as an owner operator, and I am now looking to recover my business and purchase a truck to start driving again. I have been working as a company driver to just to get by, but it is not enough to support my family.
