The tears are just rolling down my face as I type this message to explain the horror I am living as we speak having to plead and beg for HELP! Ever since I was a small child, I have had major issues with my teeth corroding away. My late mom spent so much of her hard earned paychecks from the age of 7 to 13 trying to save my adult teeth by any means necessary even though the odds were stacked against me from my DNA I share with my late father. At the young age of 19, my father had to have all of his teeth removed and he had to wear dentures his entire life. Four of his siblings all lost their teeth as well before the age of 22, in which two of them could NOT afford dentures and had to go without any teeth. Six years ago, I was gainfully employed in a career I spent 19 years at with dental coverage that only covered $1500 max payout per year and did not cover but the removal of three teeth. I spend approximately $3000 out of pocket having the rest of them sealed and filled with silver fillings that after 6 months they all completely fell out due to teeth corroding around the fillings. I then took $1500 and purchased a set of snap on teeth that covered the horrendous site of my mouth until I could try and save $20k to have them removed and replaced permanently. Then COVID hit and I lost my job of 20 years and my husband lost his job of 9 years in the same month. I have been maintaining as best as I can, even though I KNOW these rotten teeth are causing me to have health problems. I am experiencing bad head aches, body aches, prone to infections easily, I can barely eat at all anymore because it hurts so bad to eat and drink. BUT TODAY, takes the cake. I was removing my snap ons out of the container I soak them in during the night time, and they slipped out of my hand and feel on the floor and cracked into two pieces. Now they will barely stay in my mouth, I can barely talk with them in, and now I do NOT even want to go outside in the PUBLIC! I am seriously freaking out and have no where to turn except to ask strangers to HELP. I have absolutely no family living, they have all passed and social services will not help either. I am NOT on medicaid or any type of assistance. If you could PLEASE considering HELPING me out it will be a BLESSING to me in this dire need. I am asking for the permanent ones due to the severe erosion of my gums that would have difficulty keeping a set of dentures in on my own. ANY amount you can spare will be much appreciated.
